Turkey Bowl

THIS YEAR’S EVENT IS IN THE BAG! Another great event. We netted over $5,000 and 1,600 lbs. of food for the West Seattle Food Bank.

We will be back again in November 2017 to celebrate our 19th Annual Beer Church Turkey Bowl.

Beer Church Turkey Bowl is an annual fundraiser, food drive and bowling party at West Seattle Bowl. All proceeds benefit West Seattle Food Bank. Local breweries and pubs put together teams to participate and so do a lot of civilian beer drinkers. A great time is had by all.

When the time comes, here’s the deal. You reserve a lane, or lanes, for your group. Each lane can handle up to eight bowlers, though six is probably an optimal number. You manage who bowls on your lane. We start bowling at 6:00, bowling ends at 9:00. You can bowl three games in that time, assuming you bowl quickly. You probably won’t bowl three games, to be honest, but you’ll have a lot of fun. Along the way, we’ll be holding a raffle and a silent auction for a great assortment of prizes. Also, throughout the evening we run beer frames, which is our creative and fun way to offer you a chance to win free beer.

In 2016 Turkey Bowl also served as the official launch event for Beer Church IPA, a beer brewed collaboratively by four Seattle-area breweries to benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.  Read more about the beer and the project here.

Usually the second or third Saturday in November. Date TBD.

Each year Beer Church organizes this event to help out our friends at the West Seattle Food Bank. Groups of bowlers donate food and participate in the raffle and auction. And of course there’s lots of bowling and beer involved.

The event sells out every year, so if you’re interested, don’t delay.
